City of Lynn selects CommunityScale for zoning overhaul

The City of Lynn, Massachusetts selected CommunityScale to lead its comprehensive Zoning Code Rewrite, an initiative to modernize the city’s regulations in line with the Vision Lynn comprehensive plan and state law. The project set out to deliver a zoning framework that is not only compliant but easy to understand and apply, encouraging smart growth while respecting the existing community fabric, especially downtown. The approach centered on extensive community engagement through surveys, interviews, and workshops to ensure diverse representation. Joining CommunityScale were subconsultants Levine Planning Strategies and BBHS Law, adding expertise in inclusionary zoning, economic feasibility, and municipal land use law.

We are excited that the City of Lynn has announced the selection of CommunityScale as the consultant for the comprehensive Zoning Code Rewrite project.
